World Customs Organization Third Technology & Innovation Forum Marks Debut Of SGS OMNIS
Benefits of Real-Time Tracking and Visibility Demonstrated for Hundreds of Government & Customs Officials Attending
Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia (March 6, 2012) – This week, SGS is presenting its recently announced SGS OMNIS™ tracking solution at the World Customs Organization’s Third Technology & Innovation Forum here. SGS OMNIS is a fully integrated service that provides customs administrations with real-time tracking of consignments in order to create visibility in the supply chain.
SGS is an exhibitor, participant, and sponsor of the event, which attracts hundreds of customs officials, international trade and other government representatives looking to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of customs administrations across the globe, and to help them fulfill their dual role of facilitating trade and ensuring its security.
SGS OMNIS is powered by the Savi Mobile Tracking SystemTM, a purpose-built platform that identifies and tracks in real-time the location, movement and condition of high-value assets. It was designed specifically for securing and monitoring a wide range of cargo types – ISO
containers on road and rail, closed rail wagons and tanker railcars, wet cargo (fuel trucks) and in-vehicle units for vehicle tracking. During the conference, William Clark, President and CEO, Savi Technology will moderate the panel discussion “Thinking Outside the Box – Innovative Solutions for Better Border Management.”
“We are very excited to be at the WCO Technology & Innovation Forum and to support the debut of SGS OMNIS,” said William Clark, President & CEO, Savi Technology. “We are looking forward to speaking with attendees and working with them to solve their customs and border
