4G/3G/2G Cellular and GPS Connectivity
The Savi Locate Sensor is the industry’s first truly global 4G/3G/2G high-performance tracking device designed to monitor worldwide inter-modal shipments. Interior sensitive and accurate antennas use enhanced GPS technology to keep tabs on your cargo from either outside or inside most shipping containers. When GPS satellites are not in view, cell tower triangulation can provide an approximate location, allowing sensors to report in from any region of the globe where a cellular network exists.
Software Integration and Alerting
Savi Locate sensors are integrated with Savi Visibility, our in-transit visibility software, to provide end-to-end supply chain monitoring and tracking. When exceptions to pre-defined threshold conditions occur, sensors send status updates and alerts via cellular networks to Savi Visibility. Sensors are programmed to send updates at varying intervals depending on motion and/or location to optimize battery life.
Flexibility of OTA Updates
Customers enjoy the flexibility of Savi’s OTA (over-the-air) sensor management capabilities. This enables Savi to change configuration parameters and update configuration on demand. Configurations can be programmed by Savi before shipment or over the air once the sensor is deployed in the field.
Affordable and Durable
The ruggedness of the sensor allows it to be reused many times over if desired. Weatherproof sensors can be attached to the outside of a shipping container, placed within shipping cartons, or affixed to a pallet or asset using double-sided automotive tape, screws or nylon wire ties.
